Wonderful Millesgården, the home of the sculptor Carl Milles and the artist Olga Milles built in 1908, is located high on Lidingö in a terraced sculpture park with fountains and flower plantations: Millesgården boasts a magical view of Stockholm. Since 1936, when the artist's home was handed over as a gift to the Swedish people, Millesgården has been run as a foundation. Today, Millesgården is a museum with an antiques collection, sculpture park, art gallery, shop and restaurant.

STOCKHOLM
If you ask us, Stockholm is the best of both worlds. On the one hand, influences flow in from all over the world and make their mark on restaurants, bars, music, art and design; on the other hand, the nordic heritage is protected with everything from Skansen to traditional Swedish fika and minimalist design.
Visit Gröna Lund, ABBA the Museum, Fotografiska och Moderna Museet or travel back in time in the Old Town's medieval alleys, Skansen and the Vasa Museum. Or why not dance the night away at Stureplan, where the heart of the big city beats the hardest?
THE VASA MUSEUM
The ship Vaasa capsized and sank in Stockholm in 1628. After 333 years on the seabed, the huge warship was salvaged and the journey could continue. Today, Vaasa is the world's best-preserved 17th century ship.
